Brooks made this ¾ scale rifle for his daughter Kori Noelle on her 10th Christmas in 1984. The fancy curly maple stock is decorated with several silver inlays, silver wire inlay, and relief carving. The ornate brass patch box has silver flowers, one of which has a petal that is the hidden release button. The lock was made from scratch. The 32 caliber rifle barrel has a silver signature plate inlaid which is engraved "J S Brooks Dec 25,1984". The silver heart shaped inlay on the wrist has her initials "KNB" engraved in script, and the patch box lid is engraved "Made for my Daughter Kori Noelle". Jack made this piece in the style of Allentown, PA circa 1790.
